JOB TITLE: Lead Consultant REPORTS TO: Engagement Lead or Account Manager
JOB PURPOSE: Responsible for leading delivery and focuses primarily on delivery and oversight in the business of project-based management consulting.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • To promote and adhere to the values of Cumberland • Perform tasks related to the execution of a client engagement without day-to-day supervision and able to demonstrate higher levels of operating autonomy; know appropriate times to seek assistance and review of work products • Perform project management activities as a team leader within a large project or manage a 1-5 person team with appropriate supervision • Demonstrate the service capabilities of Cumberland to potential clients and identify add-on sales opportunities • Develop and track a basic project work plan • Contribute to the firm’ s knowledge repository • Assist in the development of Staff Consultants and Senior Consultants by providing feedback and career development advice • Participate in the recruiting process as appropriate • Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor
QUALIFICATIONS • Bachelor’ s degree required; focus on healthcare, business, IT, or computer science preferred • Possesses at least 4-5 years of consulting experience or relevant healthcare experience • Demonstrated project management skills • Lead Consultants have mastered the Senior Consultant skill level and will serve in supervisory roles on client engagements • Experience facilitating teams including experience working with technical, non-technical and clinical staff
• Strong organizational, time management and interpersonal skills • Computer literacy including working knowledge of Microsoft office applications (particular depth in Word, Excel, Power Point) • Flexibility to travel extensively or work remotely required • Strong oral and written communication skills
